Saiyuuki (最遊記), also known as Saiyuki, is an anime series based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Kazuya Minekura. The story follows Genjo Sanzo, a tough monk, who leads three yokai companions on a quest westward to stop the resurrection of the demon king Gyumaoh.
